Debutante Mya Malissie Erves
Mya is the daughter of Mr. Howard Boutte’, Jr. and Ms. Cleopatra Erves. She attends Warren Central High School. Mya’s activities include Student Ambassador, Student Lead Team, Key Club, Varsity Cheerleader, Competition Cheerleader, Track Team, Choir, Band, Diamond Dolls, and Girl Scouts. Some of her honors and awards received are National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, Beta Club, and selected as Junior Beauty in the Beauty and Beau Pageant. Her hobbies and talents are baking, cheering, gymnastics, and reading. In her community she volunteers at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and Community Clean-up Day at West Jackson Community Development Corporation. She attends Mt. Pigah M.B. Church where she is in the Junior Choir. Mya plans to attend either Louisiana State University or Spelman College and major in Advanced Practical Nursing. Her future endeavor is to become certified registered nurse anesthetist. Some words she uses to describe herself are pioneering, resourceful, intelligent, and ambitious. Her personal motto is, “Don’t be a butterfly today and a grasshopper tomorrow. Which means whoever you are, be consistent and remain true to yourself.”. ~The late Reverend Willie Erves, Sr., her grandfather.

Mya was escorted by Tyelik Caron Eaddy. Tyelik is the son of Mr. Richard Eaddy and Mrs. Yulonda Watson. He is a Senior at Warren Central High School and attends Greater Grove M.B. Church.
