Jamiyah is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Chaka Gaines and Mr. & Mrs. Darryl Carson. She attends Vicksburg High School. Jamiyah’s activities include Varsity Basketball Cheer Captain, Ambassador Vice President, Soccer Team, and Student Council Representative. Some of her honors and awards received are all A’s Honor Roll, Most Spirited Cheerleader, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, and National Technical Honor Society Vice President. Her hobbies and talents are baking, singing, arts & crafts, and spending time with family and friends. In her community she participated with the ERDC Christmas Lights Show, Breast Cancer Awareness Cookie & Cake Sale, Penny Harvest, and Good Shepherd’s Supply Drive. She attends Trinity Temple Baptist Church where she is a Choir Member. Jamiyah plans to attend the University of Southern Mississippi and major in Psychology.  Her future endeavor is to become a psychologist. She is currently working an internship at the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Some words she uses to describe herself are natural born leader, caring, and dependable. Her personal motto is, “It’s not always easy, but it’s definitely worth it.”.

Jamiyah was escorted by Travis Stewart, Jr. Travis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Travis Stewart, Sr. He is a Senior at River City Early College and attends Greater Rose Hill M.B. Church.
